About You
I feel as though the taste session allowed me to better understand the goals and vision of the Teach First programme. It allowed me to better understand the possible career paths i can take and really allowed me to envision myself teaching in the future.
I feel as though Teach First really took the time out to care for each and every person at the taster experience; whether that be through the breaks or the constant checking that everyone was okay.
- It allowed me to assess whether teaching was for me and if not other possible career paths that I could take. - Gave me the opportunity to network with a range of people - Allowed me to work on my communication skills in a group setting
The Company
It was extremely well structured, with a precise timetable that the coordinators stuck by and kept us well informed about.
Considering that the taster session was only 2 days, i feel as though it would be very difficult to invest in personal training and development. However, within the two days i did feel as though i had sufficient training to deliver the task at hand.
This was specifically provided through the the Q&A panel talk.
Specifically in the task with posters around the room. It gave me an insight of what the problem revolving education was and how Teach First attempts to resolve these issues.
Everything Else
There was at the end of the second day, however I would have preferred for this session to have lasted longer as i feel like it was difficult for everyone to have a discussion with the different companies within the time frame given.
