Accountant Review

I enjoyed the insight day very much and found that it helped me understand what happens at BDO and the type of work carried out by the firm. Everybody was very smiley and I enjoyed the encouraging of social activity between other members thatg had come to the insight day.

There was not one moment that I did not feel valued. From coming in at the reception all staff were extremely polite and helpful and I was informed of the location of things that I may need such as water or use of the toilet. There was a large amount of interaction between myself and the people leading the insight day.

I received guidance on the small tasks we were assigned on the day. When speaking about opportunities the way I was spoken to would have been universal so i would have received the same amount of knowledge if I had come to the day and wanted to work within a different sector of the business.

I believe that being provided with an insight helped to motivate me in my current studies and made the path I need to follow, much clearer. I also think that showing me members of the work force and attitude that they had taught me how people will be like in the workplace

The insight was very well structured and the structure went to plan. I especially appreciated the beginning focus on making everybody comfortable with the people around them and with the person in charge of the evening. Each different part of the day transitioned nicely into the next. I was not displeased.

There were not any problems with the atmosphere at all. The atmosphere was not awkward at all or unwelcoming. I would definitely feel comfortable to be at the office if I had a job there. I do not think there are any further possible changes to the atmosphere created by BDO

I believe they helped me with the beginnings of accounting and made me familiarise myself with recent happenings in the economy. So while there was not a large amount of training to myself and my skills i would not expect that from an event like this as it was only a couple hours long.

To a very high extent, we were able to ask questions to individuals within the workforce as well as being told by themselves what a life in the day of an accountant at BDO is like. Hearing from different sectors of the firm was helpful in making my own decision for my direction.

Extremely valuable there are a multitude of roles within the firm all with different responsibilities. Going to this insight day really spoke to me personally and now I am aiming to get the requirements set by BDO for my A levels and have increase my length of time spent revising.

Yes as stated before there was a very good networking opportunity enabling me to interact with members of BDO they seemed like they had experience giving people an insight into how the company operates and what they think about the company and the many benefits that set it apart from other

I would definitely recommend this to a friend who wish to take a job in accounting or need help trying to find their next step after college. This programme definitely helped me make my decision so I hope that me friend will get the same experience that I had from it.
