The Role
I did enjoy my internship to a certain extent. Although it was occassionally uncomfortable when modelling, this internship also gave me the chance to design my own clothes and model them so I got to explore what was stylish but also what was comfortable and between the two of them as well.
I did feel somewhat valued by my colleagues. Though we all worked independently, the other employees helped me a lot with my work, offering me advice and guidance on how to improve and this was really nice of them and made me feel valued as they wanted the best for me and my work.
I was given a lot of guidance and advice by not only my managers but also my colleagues. My colleagues would help me a lot with design and advice on modelling while my supervisors gave me more general advice on how to improve generally with my designs, telling me how to take them to the next level.
I think that on a daily basis, I was always occupied with something to do but I would never say I was busy as I felt like I could work in my own time without being rushed. This was nice as it meant I could work to the best of my ability.
I was given quite a lot of responsibility during my placement and though this did not really affect the company, this affected me and my designs and even my self-confidence so it was essential that I did everything to the best of my ability so that I could further improve myself.
I think that I developed quite a lot of skills there. I definitely improved my skills on fashion design which were previously limited. This is mainly because I got to work in a practical environment on it. Also, I got some modelling experience which may be useful in the future in the fashion industry.
The Company
I often did the work at home but generally, the atmosphere in the office I was working in occassionally was very nice as though we were all working independently, we all talked and the other colleagues did their best to help me which was very nice. It was nice that they were very helpful rather than competitive and this helped me most.
I think that the internship was set up quite well. This is because I was able to balance it with my studies. Also, all the work was completed independently and then reviewed by my supervisors and this meant that I did not need that major commitment to the company and could also commit myself to my studies.
I think that I did receive a lot from the company in terms of personal training and development. This is mainly because although I did not receive upfront training, I was continually reviewed and this helped me improve a lot and this would not have been possible without the internship I did.

I would definitely love working with them in the future, particularly in the fashion design aspect but not necessarily the modelling. I would say that this may be somewhat likely as I felt like they did value the efforts I put in.
The Culture
I got on very well with the other students that I occasionally saw at the office and I also got on well with the colleagues working there which was nice as it made me feel like part of a company and it made it feel like a family which helped me work in the office a lot.
I did work in London so it was obvious that the cost of living and socialising would be high as everything there is quite expensive. The rail network, however, makes it such that you can easily travel there on occasions you need to so you do not need to live there yet most of the time, I worked from home so did not even have to.
In the area I worked, I did notice a few bars nearby but they often seemed quite crowded. However, there would probably be another one that was emptier. There were also a lot of activities to take part in so there was pretty much something for everyone and there was stuff to do with the colleagues.
There were many opportunities to get involved in outside of work. There were company parties and events for the students to attend alongside the colleagues. When I went into the office, the other students would usually arrange an outing for after for us to go to which was really fun and a great opportunity to get to know eachother.
