    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Real responsibilities and interest from managers and the wider team. I am pleased with everyone and their input has been very useful.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • As already said, real responsibilities were given and team was very responsive to any queries that came up. Everyone was helpful and willing to assist in anything needed.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • To a great extend - support was given throughout the placement and whenever needed.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Depending on the workload, there were days that were very busy and others that were less busy. However, there was always work to do and if asked, there would always be something to do.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Responsibility was given to coordinate meetings, and real issues regarding the project, making the employee feel valuable in their efforts to help out.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills developed will certainly be valuable for the future - not really for my degree studies as I am studying something slightly different, but skills developed are certainly transferable and useful in any working environment.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Site office was great - environment and people were welcoming and it was nice to work in a productive environment.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Really well organised - it is usually up to the trainee to set out the scope of their placement, regarding on tasks and objectives they want to meet. But support and guidance to achieve these was given throughout the placement.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Online training was useful and insightful. In addition, depending on managers' availability and free time, further training was taken to learn about different tasks and areas of interest in the project.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Future employment prospects are very appealing, based on previous and current placements. Very satisfied with colleagues and working environment, and it feels like a great place to start and develop a career.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes, colleagues were friendly and eager to socialise outside work hours. Regarding students, it was harder to meet with fellow placement students as they were placed at different projects. Perhaps meet-ups every 3 weeks would have been nice, discussing progress and chatting about what everyone is up to. But in general, the social scene was good in the workplace!

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London is expensive. But I've been living in London for 3 years so that's not something striking to me by now - perhaps this could seem more unusual to someone who doesn't usually live in London.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • A couple of pubs/bars around to get a drink/food after work with colleagues.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Volunteering was an option and I would be very eager to participate if I had more time. Something that I would definitely love to do in the future.

    4/5
