    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a great insight into the corporate side of business in a FTSE 250 company.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Highly - the work I was given felt like it added value to the team and the business at large.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was given support whenever I asked for it, and I was regularly asked as well if there was anything I needed help with.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It varied day-to-day - but I was never bored! Some days I did have to stay considerably later than I expected to just to get everything done but this was rare.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • With specific tasks, I had sole responsibility to plan, deliver and present work. Within the regular reporting, this was more of a team effort.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The Excel training week was brilliant and so helpful. I think the development of my networking skills will help me beyond this internship the most.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Friendly but high-pressured.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Elements were well organised but then some fell short, namely the socials for the interns.

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They provided me with a week of Excel training and I was trained more informally in Salesforce and general reporting tools.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Very - I hope to come back next year on a more permanent basis if possible.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Minimal

    1/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Expensive as it is Central London

    1/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • 3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • 3/5
