    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed my internship. The work was enjoyable but the office environment was the most enjoyable part - it is a very social office and all of the staff are really friendly and there is so much to get involved in

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • All staff, even the more senior staff made time to talk to me and explain things to me if I needed help. There wasn't anybody I didn't feel comfortable speaking to and everyone was very friendly

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was assigned a line manager who was very supportive , and there were 3 catch ups throughout the 8 weeks to check in on how the internship was going

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days were quieter than others but on the whole I was very busy and never sat with noting to do - sometimes I was so busy I had to turn down work if I was asked to do something

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I felt like I had a lot of responsibility and was trusted with some important work (which was obviously checked afterwards)

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I don't think the skills will assist much with the rest of my degree (other than maybe knowledge of excel), but will definitely help beyond my degree when I look towards a career

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone is very close with each other and are friends outside of work, which shows as the atmosphere is very positive. There is a hot desking policy which allows you to sit with new people every day which is good as you get to know lots of people

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It was well structured and there were set tasks we needed to complete from the outset, as well as other jobs that we got along the way

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There were 3 trips in total to go to London for training sessions, and a trip to Manchester to go to a real client meeting (all paid for)

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Sports and Social Club

    National Travel

    Company Parties/Events

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • They have a very good graduate scheme which is very appealing

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I socialized with the other interns, but mostly with the whole office

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I saved money by living at home, but Leeds isn't as expensive as many other office locations, and has a very good social scene

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Leeds has a really good nightlife, particularity for Students, and we got the opportunity to go on a few nights out with people from the office

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Atleast weekly opportunities to get involved in various things (sports/drinks etc)

    5/5
