  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed my time at Hays, I feel like the team I was with was so supportive and really helped with my development throughout the year.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I was a full member of my team, and they respected my opinions the same as every other member of the team.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • There was lots of support from all the members of my team. Any problem or struggle I had throughout the placement my manager or one of my teammates would be there to support me to ensure the problem was resolved.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very busy, recruitment is very fast-paced, but it meant that I was never bored!!

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The role was pretty autonomous even in a team environment, I was treated as a full member of staff, so I had equal responsibility.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have learned lots during my time here at Hays. I think I will be very well prepared with my continued studies and when I graduate.

  • It was a very friendly environment, always people having a laugh, but also working hard and supporting each other.

  • Very well organised, they invest a lot of time ensuring that the placement is worth it.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Lots of training on how to be a recruitment consultant at the start. They also have other training sessions throughout the year which are for other skills, which means I am leaving Hays not just with skills related to recruitment.

  • Very appealing, I would love to go back.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes, there is a great social scene. Everyone is at the pub on the other side of the road most Fridays.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Pretty standard for London.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Good.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Lots of opportunities, not just going out for socials to the pub, but also when people from the office ran in the London marathon, people from the office went to support.
