    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I have really enjoyed working at Pendragon this year as I have gained so much experience and industry knowledge. I have been given so many opportunities within the business to help my development and give me confidence.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Very valued. Everyone has been extremely helpful and welcoming. I have been given a few different roles between two teams and feel valued in both. I am able to confidently ask questions and take part in business discussions without feeling out of place.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I have had the full support and guidance of all my managers and supervisors and they have been the ones to push me and help me gain extra skills and responsibilities. Nothing has been too much trouble in relation to helping me solve problems and answering queries.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • In the first 6 months I was comfortable. I would have loved to have been busier but even though i was asking for things to do everyday there was little for me to do. After being moved onto two teams it has picked up and has been much better

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I would say I have been given a lot of responsibility and have been treated like any other team member. There have been many reports and tasks that i have been given full responsibility for.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Everything I have learnt has been invaluable. The skills I will take away will 100% help me succeed in both my studies and when applying for Grad jobs

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The office is the only downside. It is extremely quiet and although everyone is lovely it is just very dull. There is no atmosphere.

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The process was very well organised. in regard to the Undergraduate programme and the training. However, I do think that when I got into the office this wasn't as I had a very limited amount of work and wasn't really like what was described.

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • 100%. Everyone at the training academy are committed to your development and do everything they can to help and assist you along the way. If it wasn't for their support my year could have had a very different outcome.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    1/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Really appealing, as I have been able to see the progression opportunities first hand.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • N/A I was the only placement student in the office and it was very difficult. I saw other students about once a month for a training day.

    2/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I lived at home

    1/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I commuted from Sheffield and lived at home.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • I am unsure, there is Car CafĂ© for if you are interested in Cars? But i am unsure as to if there are any others.
