    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I absolutely loved my year at Adobe, I really couldn't have asked for a better placement. I was given an opportunity of a lifetime and was able to work for such an amazing company, which had great products and even better people. I tell everyone to do a placement year, especially at Adobe!

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt very valued by my colleagues. I was instantly made to feel part of the team and family. All my thoughts and ideas were listened to and some were even bought to life which was so exciting to see. I was never made to feel like 'just an intern'.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My supervisor was fantastic! She was always there for me and offered support and guidance whenever needed, even after office hours. If she wasn't physically in the office, she still offered the same level of support, which was great.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There really was a perfect balance. I was given weekly tasks which filled up the first few days of the week and was involved with various tasks and projects. I sought out extra work if needed and created projects independently to work on. I also had the freedom to have fun at work too which was great, taking part in lunch and learn programs, exercise classes etc.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a lot of responsibility during the placement year, which was something I did not expect. I was given opportunities to lead calls, meetings, presentations etc which was extremely beneficial for me, especially for skill development.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I honestly gained skills for life during the placement year, thanks to the work, various opportunities and wonderful people I met. I was constantly learning new things and was able to develop both personally and professionally. Key skills I took away were confidence, networking, independence, the list is endless!

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Creative, fun and hardworking. I loved coming into work everyday due to the work environment. Everyone worked extremely hard but was also able to have fun, smile and laugh. Working in such an environment was so stimulating and it made me enjoy the placement even more.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The overall work placement was extremely organised. I had a routine daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly. It was all very seamless.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company invests 100% into each of their employees, even their interns. You get the same perks as full time employees which is AWESOME. I was able to learn so many new things and really develop as a person thanks to the company and the opportunities given. One of the many benefits of working at Adobe.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • This is very much dependent on the role and the person. I myself would love to go back to Adobe.

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There was a great social scene. The company employs students in various departments. The company also make the effort to host lunches which enable everyone to come together and mingle which is great, especially when times are busy and you don't get much of a chance.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I did not live in the area in which I worked. In terms of socialising, the area wasn't too bad, there were always good, cheap options, especially for students. Just depends on what you like and where you go!

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The area in which I worked didn't have the best nightlife. However, it was very close to other towns and cities so there were alternatives.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There is always so much going on at Adobe both in and outside work. There are sports clubs that you can be part of, volunteering opportunities, the list really is endless.
