About You
I enjoyed the placement very well because I was excited by everything that they asked me to do and it was so interesting to see how people helped others by doing their job and carrying out important responsibilities. It was very inspiring to see how everyone was making an impact.
I did feel somewhat valued by the employees. people did talk to me when they had the time but I do understand that everyone is busy doing their job so I can't expect everyone to pay attention to me. The supervisors did take of me very well though so I appreciated that.
I received a lot of guidance and support from my supervisors. They let me know what my activities were during that day and what plans they had for me for the remaining part of my placement. They also gave me support on my career by giving me good beneficial advice.
I developed a lot of skills in terms of communication and team working. I definitely gained a lot of important knowledge that will be beneficial to me when I apply for a job or if I want to progress in my career pathway in competition to other people on my stage.
The Company
The insight was very well structured like I said before because my supervisors knew what I had to do for that day and had a good reliable plan on what they could do for me to ensure that I get the most out of my time there. Definitely organised team!
The atmosphere was great. It was very busy all the time so it was hard to relax but it is a company that are trying to maintain their reputation and so everyone had to be on their toes throughout the day. People were also warm and welcoming so that was a bonus!
The company did invest in a lot of their time and energy in making sure that I really got the most out of my work experience/placement at the company. They didn't offer me complete training but they did let me do tasks which gave me a good hands on experience!
To a massive extent literally. I mostly did work shadowing and so this meant that I really got to understand what being an office worker in each departments was like and the responsibilities that were involved. I also got to see how everyone worked together in order to get things done.
I learned a lot about the company's culture within a short spam of time. I could see that the people who were part of the team were serious about their job and treated everyone with respect and dignity. I could also see that everyone is genuine and were keen on motivating each other.
It was very valuable. I got to see what I am going to be doing when I start working a similar role to what I did during the placement. At first I thought I wouldn't enjoy the job but then I had changed my mind because of how varied, practical and interesting the role was.
Everything Else
