    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The general atmosphere at the office is extremely positive and friendly. We have a few offices across the city and I have worked at different ones and this positive energy remains! People are very friendly and willing to offer a helping hand, especially when they know you are just getting settled in.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The placement was well planned and organised. Everything from our training in the first week to being assigned projects to events across the year were planned to ensure that we got the most out of our placement. Additionally, we knew who to go to for help if we ever had any doubts which was great to know from the very beginning!

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The firm definitely wanted us to grow and learn as much as possible through the one year placement. We had training during our first week to up-skill us and throughout he year had access to several learning courses and opportunities. Additionally, senior management wee extremely willing to have catch ups and share their experiences with interns which I felt was a big part of my personal development.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Working at a firm for a year provides a great insight into working culture and life at the firm full time. I would definitely want to work here after graduation as I have thoroughly enjoyed my year long experience and would enjoy being able to work full time at a firm that has so much to offer.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • My intern cohort had about 20-30 students and from the very first week, the firm organised events for us to get to know each other better. These initial events really set the tone for the rest of the year and we had a great social aspect to go alongside our working life.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Working in the City of London and socializing in the area after work or events definitely had a price! However, the firm itself organised several events for us and we managed to enjoy socializing. The bonds and network that one builds up as a result makes it totally worth it!

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The City of London definitely has several great spots and is also well connected to the rest of London so a lack of night life is never something one can complain about! I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the city and other parts of London, often meeting new people as a result.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • The firm has endless opportunities to get involved with activities out of work and also the opportunity to create activities of your own! Everything from sports, culture and food to technology, corporate citizenship and reading has a society or platform to meet like minded colleagues. This is a great way to get to know colleagues that you might not necessarily have crossed paths with otherwise!
