    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Enterprise is a great job which prepares you for a successful career. It tests your resolve, rigor and adaptability; all whilst improving your sales and service skills. However, with that comes a demanding workplace that will expect a lot from you as you represent one of the world's biggest companies.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • As far as colleagues go you can't fault the people who you work with. You get to meet so many different people, from a wide range of departments and job roles. With that means if you ever feel uneasy or not confident in what you've been asked to do, there is a pool of people willing to help.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My experience of management was excellent. I worked for a manager who pushed me but supported me the whole way. The work can be tough but never was I asked to do something that he wasn't willing to do himself or had done before. This goes the same for my assistant managers and managers who I worked under whilst covering other branches.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • My experience may be different to others, but I did experience a heavy workload due to a staffing shortage during my placement. However, you do build up a toughness to it and you learn what you're capable of. Management are understanding and everyone's in the same boat so you get through it together.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Whilst starting the work is eased onto you with a fair amount of support, but with the role of management trainee, you are expected to take on more responsibility the more you learn. By the time my placement finished I was helping with decisions and acting as adviser to management when they were running the day. The only thing more would've been for me to be in the chair.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Definitely gained skills for life that will carry over into any job in the future.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • A good balance between professionalism and workplace banter. Exactly what's needed when you spend so much time with the team.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Despite a couple minor bumps the recruitment process was near seamless.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company wants to invest into you and you are potentially the future managers. You definitely feel valued.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Financial Bonus

    Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • There is definitely an appeal to working for Enterprise. The progression is there and ready for you. I'm considering going part time whilst back at uni.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There are many of opportunities to go out for drinks or social events with your branch or other branches; more so with local branches.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Due to being a global company they can position you close to home, I lived at home so saved on paying rent. So can't complain.

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • 3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Same as socialising. The opportunities are there.
