The Role
I absolutely loved it! Loved the location, loved the people, loved the work, loved the exposure!
I defnitely felt valued by my colleagues, everyone was so lovely and welcoming and I had the support where necessary.
Lots of support given to me. I was challenged at my role, which I love as it pushes me to do my best! I had objectives set which gaves me targets to hit.
I was really busy! Being the only Intern in Hammersmith, it gave me a lot to do. If a day was quiet, i always made sure I asked my manager for extra work. I was always kept busy so the job was never boring.
I valued my placement so much because I was given a lot of responsiblity, particularly at month-end. I was producing decks directly for the CEO. This was dawnting but also extremely challenging which I feel is important for a role in Finance.
All the skills I developed will help me with my degree and beyond. I have became a lot better at Excel, particularly excel formulas. I have also learnt a lot about the Telco industry, as well as a lot about the world of Consumer Finance which will help me with future roles. A year in an industry is so important because practical skills help you learn and develop so quickly.
The Company
GREAT atmosphere. Loved the people and the environment.
Internship was set up really well. We had weekly 1-2-1s with our managers and monthly catch-ups with our Head of Year if we had any problems.
Yes they invested a lot. I'm really impressed with how much they valued by work. I would like to think I will be offered a job in the graduate scheme.
