About You
I participated in the Spring into Banking insight week at DB, I was in the technology division and had a brilliant time. I was initially unsure that it was the right placement for me as I had limited technological experience compared to my tech colleagues but [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] reassured me and I ended up having an amazing week!
Everyone at DB was so friendly and made me feel like they were really happy to have me, especially in the work shadowing placements.
Again- [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] (Tech recruiters) were amazing at supporting me through the week. Initially I was very nervous and apprehensive but their consistent support and encouragement meant that I forgot my concerns and made the most of the amazing opportunities that the Spring Week programme offered.
I gained valuable knowledge in the workings of a large global bank such as DB. I spent time in departments that employed design thinking, something that I will definitely use in future university projects.
The Company
Incredibly well organised. The tech HR team ran a very tight ship! We always knew where we had to be and when, we were frequently reminded and benefitted hugely as a result!
Very fun and friendly, lots of opportunity for networking with evening events. All the other interns on the course were lovely and very helpful- no competitive atmosphere at all!
It was only a week programme so not a very relevant question. However I was reassured that DB value their graduates very highly, if I do progress through the company I am certain that I would be invested in fully!
We had a lot of talks from people who had been at the firm for a long time. They all spoke about their whole careers and gave us a clear insight to life as a DB employee. We also had the chance to meet and listen to new Graduates to the company speak- their opinions were also key to forming an overall impression to life at DB.
It was very helpful.
We were able to visit a number of different departments during work shadowing and given presentations on the different careers available in tech at DB.
Everything Else
DB paid for those who lived outside the M25 to stay in a hotel for the duration.
Regular networking opportunities.
Nice food! Good ratio of students to professionals.
Not really. Although I could have found out if I’d have asked them, it wasn’t one of my priorities.
Yes I definitely would.
