  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • It was a really good experience, which allowed me to gain further insight into the most forward-moving sectors, which the firm practices.

    • You have a lot of opportunities to ask questions and participate in group exercises.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?

    • As it was an insight scheme, there were not many opportunities to seek help, however during any group exercises, there was always a chance to ask for clarification.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • Cannot evaluate just yet, but I think my knowledge of certain areas of law has developed over these 3 days.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • There was a really good balance between presentations and other activities.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • Everyone in the firm was friendly and helpful, always willing to talk to you.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • I felt that the firm valued all of the participants as many of the trainees and more senior people took time out of their day to meet us and demonstrate what the area they are involved in is about.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • I think it showed the overall atmosphere of the firm and it was certainly helpful to see how the firm is structured.

    • During the many opportunities we had to talk to people from many levels of the firm, we learned a lot of information about their day to day work life and other aspects of the firm.

    • I was already set on my career path prior to coming to the Insight Scheme, however this experience just further ensured me that I am making the right choice.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • There was no need for either.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • There were opportunities spread out through the programme, but everyday, we met very interesting people, who were willing to chat.

    • Very good opportunities.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • Yes, there was some information as to what the employees do outside of their jobs, also we learned a but about various networks within the firm.

    • Yes, I would definitely recommend this scheme, as it was overall a helpful and interesting experience.
