  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I found it was highly governed by self drive and my work satisfaction inspired to take on a lot of work and be very busy throughout the week. I also met with colleagues often to guide me on some work which adds to the work day, a fantastic opportunity to do that at the BBC.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • High amounts of responsibility were granted to me on project and work that i was doing but had the correct structure to have the confidence to push through work i was achieving. The support was there for when i needed some more guidance.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I won't forget skills that i learned from the field and also being within a business. Whilst also increasing my pre existing skills such as time management, project management etc. I will apply them from degree to the end of my life.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Both students were great and one in particular i am great friends with that i speak to very often and will see in the future. Colleagues were very sociable we used to have nice work lunches and drinks after work etc.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The direct area was expensive to live for me personally as a placement uni student, but not un reasonable. Socialising in the immediate Salford Quays it was relatively mid to high price. Manchester itself wasn't too expensive to do the normal socialising events.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • A few nice pubs/bars and plenty of restaurants with very attractive scenery when the Quays is lit up. Manchester has fantastic lifestyle around 15 minutes in a taxi from where i lived. (a mile from Salford Quays).

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes there are plenty of things to do outside of work and we did events with the team. Other than that there are advertising boards which have plenty of activities and groups that you can attend outside of work.
