    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • My internship didn't really feel like work, as it was enjoyable and interesting each day.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • There is a really good atmosphere at Enterprise, all the people are lovely and all of similar character.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was really lucky due to working in a smaller branch, the management team here really helped us all achieve our goals.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • day to day varied, the start of the week was always busy but then towards the end there would be quieter spells. Due to the nature of the business, your work relies on customers so with not many customers to serve there isn't much to do unfortunately. I never felt too busy though, work is equally shared.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • For a 90 day intern I felt like I was given a reasonable amount of responsibility. With this increasing when two new starters joined towards the end of my time.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I think anything that involves customers and members of the public gives you such useful people skills and also how to respond in certain situations. With my degree I think these are vital skills.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • My office was relatively small at the start of my internship but just as I am about to leave it has grown by 3 colleagues! I truly believe that there was a work hard-play hard atmosphere in the office with all good work rewarded. You grow closer to the people you work with and by the end of my internship I think I might actually miss their banter by the end of it!

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Enterprise Head Office were on the ball all the time with regards to the set up of the internship. All communication was quick and clear and I was aware of each step in the recruitment process. I also liked the idea of there being assignments for me to complete throughout my time which gave some focus behind what I was experiencing day in day out. The only issue I could see here was finding time in the busy day to day schedule to carry these tasks out.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I felt like I was given every opportunity to develop not only as an employee but also a person. If I had any questions they would be answered, any issues they would be sorted. I think the supportive environment in my branch really helped this.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would definitely consider a career with Enterprise in the future, what I have experienced so far has made me reconsider my current plans!

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes, my colleagues are a good bunch so we definitely had a good laugh.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I lived at home whilst completing my internship so luckily wasn't expensive. I would definitely recommend working at an Enterprise branch near home to save money over summer.

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I lived at home, so the nightlife was same old same old as it's where I had been going since I was 18!

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • We worked quite long hours so finding time to fit in activities around work just wasn't possible some times but it definitely made me appreciate days off.
