The Role
I enjoyed the culture of WTW and the work I was given. The access to senior figures through lunch and learn sessions was valuable. HR are also very approachable.
I felt like I was treated as a colleague/worker, not just an intern by my team and other people I interacted with in the company.
When needed guidance was available.
I was constantly busy during the internship with either my day job or the group project.
Quite a lot, especially when in contact with people external to WTW.
The majority of the skills I used were developed at university and through other insurance internships.
The Company
I expected it to be corporate and very formal. Instead it was friendly and relaxed.
We had a clear schedule of events which were mostly communicated well in advance.
Through various lunch and learns.
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing- with the recent merger it will be an exciting place to work.
The Culture
The intern group were sociable.
London prices- so quite expensive but HR did organise free events.
Loads of bars and pubs in the nearby area. Leadenhall Market is nice.
We attended an insurance conference and CII organised party.
