The Role
I love the people and the environment at Hays
I could have been more rewarded/recognised for good work
I would have liked more 1 to 1 management, constructive criticism and how to implement improvements to my work
I was usually busy, but sometimes found myself struggling to work as there was very little that needed to be actioned
I was pretty much responsible for my own area, with guidance from my supervisor
The skills i have learnt this year are very transferable. such as long hours, results driven environment makes me more pro-active, professional phone and email manner
The Company
General young workforce, therefore lively and fun. Laughs in the office, social drinking.. it is a fun place to work!
It was well organised as a placement scheme, as an intern i could have done with more supervision and training to help me improve
I had several training courses provided by Hays
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Quite appealing, but having experienced working for Hays and in the recruitment sector, i want to see what else is out there for me.
The Culture
45 interns in the building. 8 in my department. We all got along very well and had a few nights out and get-togethers, and it was nice being part of a group going through it together so nobody felt isolated
Very expensive. Based in the city of London, a pint is never less than £5
A few good go-to pubs and a bar we'd end up at afterwards, but not many clubs around and people don't stay out relatively late in the city, other areas are busier
A few. I did a tough mudder for charity through Hays, got involved in a 5-aside team and played in a dodgeball tournament.
