    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The recruitment industry is inherently a job that is filled with peaks and troughs, when things are going well it is the best job in the world but when things are slow and hard it is a less enjoyable job, however, i have on the whole thoroughly enjoyed my internship at Hays.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Praise is never far away for a job well done at Hays, whether it be on my specific desk or helping other colleagues there is always high praise for doing well and i have been made to feel as much a part of the team as a full time permanent colleague

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Sitting with all levels of management out on the sales floor there is always help available and everyone is very approachable and happy to help.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The nature of recruitment is that you can be as busy or as quiet as you want to be, however, not being busy is to your own detriment. Being on a fee earning desk if i am not busy and trying to fill available vacancies then the fees do not grow and questions are asked by management. The job relies heavily on self motivation.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a full 360 desk dealing with both clients and candidates.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Training is second to none here at Hays, i have developed immensely through working at Hays and will take back to uni a very commercial outlook on day to day life and a new found confidence.
