The Role
Very enjoyable, great balance of challenging work, socials and opportunities to learn more about the business.
The internship consisted of being in a placement team as well as a project where you are teamed up with fellow interns. My placement team were very supportive and always willing to help while also setting me challenging work - testing my initiative.
You are provided with a number of buddies/mentors/supporters. So there is always someone to turn to for help or advice. My team buddy was quick to learn about where I wanted to be in the business and instantly put me in touch with the business leaders.
At times very busy, mostly manageable. If there is little work it's wise to set up meeting of those in senior positions for a coffee or chat as they're always happy to chat with interns.
A lot of responsibility, In particular the project assignment with other interns. Here, we were given full responsibilities for the 8 weeks to conduct our own research and present to 4 "Dragons" .
The skills you'll develop during the 8 weeks of working closely with senior representatives as well as having full responsibility in the group projects are invaluable. The in-depth presenting training will be of great value going back to university or further down in your career. During the internship, you answer not only your line manager but your teams project. Therefore, you'll quickly learn how to manage your time and workload which is a plus going back to uni.
The Company
Very energetic and engaging. My floor had a vast amount of business leaders and they were always happy to introduce themselves.
Clear structure from the beginning and everything all went to plan.
Weekly speaker series in which business leaders from across the company share their insights.
