    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I truly enjoyed my internship, I was expecting it to be good having attended the assessment centre, however, it was really a fantastic experience. I have learned a lot about the business and I have gotten hands on experience regarding the role of HR.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • From day one my team made me feel as a valued member of the team. I was greeted by a 'welcome' banner on my desk and they all very helpful in making my transition into the department smooth. Throughout the internship I feel like I have been valued because I have been given the opportunity to do different tasks and my colleagues have seem happy about the result. They always made me feel included and that my work had a positive impact for the team and the firm.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I had catch up meetings with my line manager where we discussed my progress and I received feedback. This was great as it gave me a sense of direction and I always knew what I was working towards. My other colleagues took turns in training me in various practises and programmes and throughout the 8 weeks I spent with the company they were always keen on helping out.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was always very busy but it is because I thrive on having many things to do. Thus I see it as a perfect balance as it allowed me to plan my own work.
