    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Everyone was really friendly. Whilst you are only in one department for the fortnight, you attend daily talks from other departments to get a broad experience and people in other teams are more than happy to talk to you about their work.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I didn't undertake work for everyone in the department as it was mainly from the 'Trainee Buddy' but everyone I did meet always had time to chat.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Considering how busy everyone is, the amount of support you get from the Trainee Buddy and their Supervisor is really good.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I had enough to do without always hassalling the trainee, or getting bored.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • There isn't much scope to demonstrate responsibility, just due to the type of work given.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • It confirmed I wanted to pursue commercial law and will look good on future applications.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone was lovely, but worked hard too.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Graduate recruitment keep you informed every step of the way and the induction at both the London and regional office was really well organised. The talks every morning were varied and well timed (some ran over but this was to our benefit more than anything!).

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • As everyone took time out when they could have been doing client work, in order to talk to you or conduct interviews, this was impressive.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Company Parties/Events

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Came across as a good firm to work for.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Really enjoyed the organised events, as well as getting to know the other placement students.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Commuted from home so no issue.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Great but didn't go out really.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • The organised events and office drinks were really good and a great opportunity to meet the employees.

    4/5
