    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The development of existing and new skills has been a consistent theme throughout my internship. I have found myself actively learning and being challenged on a daily basis to be extremely rewarding. My knowledge gained from doing my placement will definitely be of benefit for my final year of study, as well as future career prospects

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Every colleague I've worked with or come into contact with has welcomed me as if I was a full-time employee with years of experience. I have never been felt to feel like I was 'just an intern' instead I am trusted like any other employee

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager was very supportive, especially in the first few weeks of my placement. Through answering questions to shadowing me when I was learning new systems and providing constructive feedback where appropriate,

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Every day brought new challenges and new experiences. Whether it was a new project or a new system to learn, no two days were the same

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given as much responsibility as I felt I could handle. I was responsible for any projects I was given, as well as numerous day to day processes that the team carries out.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The transferrable skills that I've learnt throughout my placement will be of significant value when it comes to my final year at University. Whether that's time management and communication techniques for assessments or being able to use my experiences in future interviews, the skills learnt over the course of the year have developed my skills to a new level

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere was always professional but incredibly welcoming. Everyone who I came into contact with on a daily basis was always friendly. The office really did live the company's founding values in action. All senior management were very approachable and personal, which set the tone for the overall office.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Enterprise has an award winning recruitment and internship program which was clear throughout my year here. It was very clearly structured to allow me to develop numerous skills and exposed me to a variety of different parts of HR

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was encouraged to attend external seminars in London, as well as in-house training on more complex systems. This meant taking time out of the business and the cost of travel to be reimbursed for me to get a well-rounded understanding of HR

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    Above 25 days holiday

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I am in the process of sorting out my graduate job

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Socials were organised quite often, whether that is with my direct colleagues or the other placement students

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Being close to London and the M25 meant that the cost of living is quite high in comparison to what I was used to as I relocated from Manchester. However, there are some good deals to be found, but you have to look hard

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Egham is a quiet town outside of London so the social scene itself isn't as vibrant as other places. However, London is only 40 minutes away on the train so is easily accessible , but the trains finish running at midnight

    2/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • 4/5
