    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • A great deal, I was given a wide range of tasks and responsibilities.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I was given tasks that were real issues and therefore I felt well appreciated by colleagues.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • They were all really helpful, in fact everyone I interacted with at the company have been happy to help.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was given enough time to complete tasks, but it was very easy to say when I had too much or too little work and they were very understanding.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • During my time here I was given responsibility for a range of projects, leading validation, testing and coordination in many cases. This meant I had real passion for the work I was doing as I felt like I was very useful.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The projects I was involved with stretched and strengthened my skill sets, as well as the soft skills I gained while working here.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Professional but chilled, they weren't against you having the odd chat with co-workers but the people who work here are also very knowledgeable and polite.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well, the 2 lots of 6 month placements meant you get a nice broad range of experiences during your time here. Your first placement is designed to be somewhere you will be comfortable and plays to your skill sets, with the second one being chosen to stretch you somewhat.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • During your whole time here you will have meetings with your manager talking about where you want to expand your career into and will give you projects based on this.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would very much like to return as a graduate, and would be elated to receive a conditional offer.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • They were all very like minded, and there was work sports events clubs organised which was very good especially as a new starter.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • You can get a fairly decent house to live in for reasonable money, but the price you pay will dictate the type of area you live in.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • If there wasn't a lot of other placements who worked with to go out with, it would not be ideal, but their company more than made up for it

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Because there are quite a few graduates and placements who work here there is good opportunity to interact with them.

    5/5
