The Role
I had a very enjoyable placement down in Portsmouth. I met some great people and was able to complete very interesting work
The colleagues were extreme friendly both at and outside work. I have made friends for life during my placement
My line manager always went out of his way to make sure I knew what I was doing and that I was enjoying my work
I almost always had things to do and had to start turning down work as there was too much to complete.
I was responsible for a complete testing of components as well as modelling of systems.
I have gained a vast amount of skills and training that i will be able to use for years to come.
The Company
There was a very friendly atmosphere in the office with constant conversation on breaks and at lunch but also everyone was very eager to assist with any troubles
The casual approach from my line manager created a very well structured work with a good balance of activities and projects to take part in.
I was given a course in a software engineering programme as well as training with health and safety as well as testing protocol.
Subsidised Canteen
On the scholarship scheme it is a guaranteed spot on the graduate scheme upon graduating with a 2:1
The Culture
There is a great network of interns within the company and during my placement I visited some of the other interns around the country
I was staying in an fully furnished on suite accommodation with a minute walk from the seaside for 90 pounds bills included.
There was a good intern group that were always going to pub quizzes and the local nightclubs at the weekend.
During my time on placement i was able to participate in many different sports as well as going to nice restaurants and hang out on the beach at the weekends. There was always something going on.
