The Role
I believe I was very lucky because I of the flexibility to change projects. My second team was amazing and I got to do plenty of things enhancing my technical and soft skills. I was mainly doing Java server side development but I had to use AngularJS, MongoDB, IBM's DB2 and Drools quite often as well. I was part of an agile team so we had weekly demonstrations in front of the client which was very beneficial.
I was the main Java developer on my team so I had to support around 10 people on the team. I had worked very closely with all of them and I felt valued. My manager trusted my decisions regarding technical matters and also involved me with the discussion with the third party companies involved with the project.
Apart from regularly scheduled meetings with my managers I also had a personal career counsellor who I could speak regarding my career path and what type of area I would like to get involved in. They provided me with support during my time in Accenture.
During my first project I would be relatively busy during the day, as the project had been going on for a while. However, on my second project I had plenty of responsibility and I would rarely have any free time. Occasionally I would have to work a bit late as well but that was an exception.
On my second project I was the main Java developer so I was responsible for supporting the team and making sure that any necessary functionality is delivered on time and meets the client's specifications.
I believe lots of the skills I have gained are transferable and will be applicable to other areas not only technology - presentation skills, communication skills, team working skills.
The Company
Very friendly, nurturing. There were lots of bake offs, charity and other events happening often, I was quite close to my team.
There were problems for some students who had difficulties finding a project but luckily I was not one of them. I had good support from HR and my career counsellor.
There were plenty of online resources as well as trainings that could be completed, I have managed to enroll on several trainings on Java Hibernate and Advanced Java which were very useful.

Very good, it is a big organisation which invests a lot in its employees.
The Culture
I was extremely happy to discover that all the other placement students were very bright, smart and kind. I had made some lifelong friends.
London can be quite expensive so living costs and travelling costs were quite a lot but the salary was just enough to cover them.
I was in the City of London so there was plenty to do all the time.
There were plenty of charities, organising events and clubs which everyone could join
