    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I found the year challenging and varied. The people I worked with were very supportive and I would definitely recommend doing an Industrial Placement year at EDF.

    • Both my boss and the team I worked with were very supportive and gave both assistance and possitive reinforcement.

    • My manager was supportive and open, however the were was no real structured feedback on my progress.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • At times during the placement I found my workload was too high, however most of the time it was a good balance. I was never bored!

    • I was involved in integral department tasks and given a lot of responsibility

    • The staff I worked with invested their time to progress my skills, however there was little formal training or plan of progression.

    • Got a job with a contractor on site- staff roles in my area of work are less readily available
