BMW UK, National Sales Company, Farnborough - Retail Performance Marketing - 13 Month Placement (July 2022)

As part of the BMW UK Marketing department, the Digital and Performance Marketing area is responsible for delivery of digital platforms, digital media, social media and marketing and digital retail experiences. The Retail Marketing Team is responsible for providing our BMW UK and Irish Retail Network with adaptable and tailored marketing assets, campaigns and platforms to target prospective and existing customers with highly personalised marketing while ensuring correct brand positioning and consistent brand representation.

What will you be doing?

  • Support the delivery of the BMW digital sales literature platform in the UK (Digital Brochures and Price Lists)
  • Active participation in the platform management and ongoing development of our industry-leading digital product communication platform. See some of our work here: BMW X5 and BMW 3 Series
  • Assist in the development of materials for in-market communications and Retailer across all marketing channels, reviewing and approving artwork, liaising with FS and AUC teams, ensure ENGINE is up to date etc
  • Retailer Communications: To ensure that Retailer marketing contacts within the Retailer network are regularly informed of marketing developments from BMW UK, merchandise BMW UK campaigns and handle Retailer enquiries.
  • Retailer marketing performance monitoring: Support the delivery of and reporting on digital sales tools for the retail network from live test drive booking solutions to live chat and dynamic creative and marketing planning solutions.
  • Involvement in briefing specific campaigns through to the activation and reporting of targeted digital communications to reach an in-market customer with highly personalised messaging. Active participation in the monitoring and development of retail digital marketing tools.
  • Work closely with all areas of Marketing and Product Operations to support with national brand activities and collaboration with our Marketing Agencies to deliver activities and campaigns on time and on budget.
  • Operational co-ordination of budget processes and performance reporting.

Qualifications

  • Studying towards a degree in Business Studies, Marketing, or a related field and on track to achieving a 2:2 or higher
  • Relevant work experience either in marketing or automotive and a genuine passion and interest in cars and the automotive industry
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office products, namely Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and managing your own projects/workload.
