National Buying Placement (Communications)

Are you looking for an opportunity to join a Market Leading Retailer’s Communications department? This is your chance to get a real taste of retail, as you’re exposed to every facet of our business over the 12 months of your placement.

Working collaboratively with Buying, eCommerce, HR and various other project teams you will be responsible for effectively communicating messages, projects and initiatives to our colleagues in the UK and Ireland and to external stakeholders and customers.

The role will involve liaising with and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, assisting with the creation of briefs and communications and assisting with the organisation of large scale National events.

From the moment you start at Aldi, we’ll look after you properly. You’ll get £25,375* for the 12 months you spend with us, together with 4 weeks’ holiday allowance (plus bank holidays). If the role fits, we’d love you to apply for a permanent role after you graduate.

*Based on a 50 hour contract.

To be eligible to apply, you’ll need to be working towards a 2:1 in any discipline on a sandwich degree course. You’ll also have a minimum of 96 UCAS points (240 if using the old tariff) from your top 3 A-levels (excluding general studies). Please note we also accept 63 Scottish Highers (150 points if using the old tariff) as an equivalent to UCAS points. It’s important you have the right to work in the UK. And, while you don’t require access to a car, you’ll still need a driving licence.
