The parts that are supplied by the BMW Group are a major contributor to both the financial health of the business and high levels of satisfaction for our customers. In order to deliver the service expected of our prestigious brands, it is vital that these parts are in the supplied first time and on time. Our class leading parts supply chain and parts logistics operation is the envy of the UK Motor Industry and wider Logistics community. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, robust and practical individual to join our team on a 13 month student placement.

As part of our team you’ll be helping to oversee the UK Supply Chain and distribution of car parts and accessories across the UK and Ireland, for BMW, MINI, Rolls Royce and Motorrad. You will also be working closely with our European colleagues in Germany.

The successful candidate will demonstrate personal drive and passion for supply chain and logistics and will get involved in high spend, long term strategic projects. Highly focussed with a strong attention to detail, you’ll endeavour will help maintain business continuity by individually managing day to day responsibilities and projects that have been assigned to you. Additionally, you’ll work alongside other teams in the wider department responsible for Strategy, Business Development and Customer Service. This is also an opportunity to ‘gain hands on management’ experience whilst deputising for superiors when they are on leave or engaged on other projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Currently studying for an undergraduate STEM subject /Logistics/ Supply Chain Management degree and on track to achieve a 2:1 or above
• Analytical mind and excellent problem solving skills
• Great communication skills and presentation skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Must have a full UK driving licence, own transport and be willing to travel in the UK
