Technical Support Associate Placement

SAP is looking for passionate, motivated and articulate second year students, currently on course for a 2:1 degree with a keen interest in working in a fast-paced and exciting environment. The Role

As part of one of SAP technical support teams with will get hand on experience in a broad range of areas from real time experience personalisation to management of inhouse applications and infrastructures.

Information Systems Associate

Based in Feltham

  • To support and collaborate IT staff in managing Applications and Infrastructures
  • To work on a variety of projects, from mobile applications to network applications to portals, using a wide range of technologies along the way.
  • Supporting business applications running on servers running Windows Operating Systems; both at Server and Desktop level, plus any other IT related Systems.
  • Responsible for completing maintenance, administration and regular monitoring checks to ensure that the Server and Desktop estate provides a robust and highly available platform
  • Undertake day to day Operations ensuring that all Incidents, Service Requests (Jobs), Projects/Work Packages and Site Maintenance work is effectively supported making sure that the impact and disruption on the IT Services are kept to an absolute minimum.
  • Ensure all Incident or Service Request/Jobs are actioned as per the Service Level Targets
  • Ensure that processes, policies and procedures are completed as per documentation and created as needed.
  • Supporting the team with operational processes.
  • Innovation & Programming
  • Experience of developing Android/IOS applications for Android devices and or IOS devices
  • Creating new features that help our colleagues daily. Implementing beautiful, adaptive user interfaces that looks awesome on all screens.

Role Requirements

  • Good organizer, priority driven, and able to multi task to meet service priorities
  • Communicate effectively with good customer focus
  • Good technical configuration and troubleshooting skills with all Windows operating systems
  • Troubleshooting skills, ability to follow logical process to determine fault causes and follow to resolution
  • Software Knowledge: Microsoft Office: Excel, Power Point & Outlook, Communication software, Programming skills, circuit design and robotics
  • Organised/Co-ordination
  • Teamwork/Collaboration: Develop strong relationships with team to pool resources effectively when required; support other team member objectives, especially those that overlap with own
  • Creative Problem Solving: Ability to think on feet and outside the box- challenge “this is the way we’ve always done it” mentality

Technical Support Engineer Associate

Based in Maidenhead

As a placement student with us you would join our highly trained engineers in helping to support some of our largest customers, found in the Fortune 100 list. You will use your knowledge, problem solving and soft skills to meet rapidly evolving customer requirements and provide solutions or workarounds to the customer’s technical problems. In addition, you will also get exposure to emerging cloud technologies.

Day to day tasks will include:

  • Perform root cause analysis (e.g. research, reproduce, troubleshoot).
  • Develop workarounds for new problems, creating and maintaining knowledge.
  • Collaborate and contribute to Support Team infrastructure tools and processes.
  • Engage actively in creating test and sandbox environments to support challenging and complex customer requests.
  • Help to shape the future of Product Support

Placement students will also be a part of the ‘Next Generation of Support Transformation’, which targets involvement in activities and projects, to provide a challenging experience with global impact. SAP supports multiple areas within advanced enterprise application software, and therefore provides fantastic exposure to a wide variety of SAP and partner technologies. In addition, you will get involved in other enrichment activities ranging from employee engagement, innovation and recruitment.

Software Engineer Associate

Based in Maidenhead

You will be part of Context-driven Services (CDS). This is an area of SAP Commerce Cloud that provides real-time customer experience personalisation, which drives conversion, raises order value, and increases customer satisfaction and loyalty.

The CDS teams produce and deliver innovative software according to Agile and DevOps principles - responsible for the development, automated testing, deployment, monitoring/alerting, scaling, and continuity of the public cloud services.

You will:
