Want to be a part of an exciting government-led project to encourage 35,000 students to receive advice about becoming a trainee teacher? Excited by the thought of a challenge with a competitive bonus structure?
Why get involved?
The Department for Education is responsible for education and children’s services in England. They work to achieve a highly educated society in which opportunity is equal for children and young people, no matter what their background or family circumstances.
Around 35,000 trainee teachers need to be recruited every year. To help with this, the Department for Education runs the ‘Get into Teaching’ campaign to attract students and career changers into the profession by offering a variety of great opportunities to those interested in a career in teaching.
The campaign is delivered through a range of channels including social media, advertising, PR, and face-to-face event activity. Students are targeted on campus raising awareness of teaching as a career choice. They are encouraged to sign up to the Get into Teaching campaign to find out more about teaching and the training options. Events are held on campus where students can talk to newly qualified teachers, training providers, and advisers about all aspects of the profession.
As a Brand Ambassador, you’ll be in charge of spreading the word about Get into Teaching at your University and help sign up students to their mailing list.
“Campaigning for Get into Teaching made me very eloquent. I had to speak to so many students which made me an effective and powerful speaker. Such transferable skills can help you in any field! The experience of this campaign has now enabled me to feel confident and excel in my current career”
