We are seeking an intern to join our Finance department, based in Folkestone, Kent, on a 12 month contract starting in Late June 2018.

As a Finance Intern at Church & Dwight you will work on a diverse range of tasks which will further your knowledge and skills as well as adding value to our business. During the internship you will receive a tailored induction and be able to gain knowledge from our highly experienced team members.

Our Finance Internship is full of variety; it's fast paced, and allows you to contribute fully in the commercial aspects of the business. Under the management of the Commercial Finance Controller, you will provide financial support to the sales and marketing team with new product appraisals and evaluation of marketing activities, helping drive business decisions. In addition, this varied role will consist of:

  • Assisting with the month end accounting close and help ensure management accounts are completed timely and accurately.
  • Assisting with monthly reforecasting process and annual planning.
  • Other ad hoc projects including financial support for the manufacturing site.

Throughout your internship you will also have regular reviews and receive feedback from your manager for personal growth and to certify that your internship is going smoothly.

Lastly, we strongly encourage our interns to get the most out of our programme, be able to walk away feeling proud of the contributions they made to the company and for them to be able to shout about it on their CV's!

Who we are looking for

We welcome applications from current students looking to undertake an industry placement year and also graduates seeking their first role in Finance.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an undergraduate/postgraduate ideally in Accounting and Finance.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent personal / communication skills and the ability to influence non-financial members of staff.
  • Intermediate / advanced MS Excel.
  • Confidence to work independently on project work.
  • Have an enquiring mind.
