Consulting Services Sales Associate

The Consulting Services Sales Associate is a critical member of the team, contributing to the sales process and sales strategy in a dynamic team with an unrivalled level of customer exposure through the 13-month placement.

The Consulting Services Sales Associate will be expected to fulfil the following roles to support a team with one of the largest sales targets at SAP:

  • Sales Ownership - Develop the ability to co-run real business opportunities for SAP with some of the largest global businesses.
  • Trusted Advisor - Learn the SAP Services portfolio and become a trusted advisor in the growth topics (currently IOT, S/4HANA, HANA, Premium Engagements and Custom Development Services).
  • Success Stories - Work alongside the sales team and build a portfolio of ‘Win Stories’, outlining SAP’s success in the market.
  • Commercial stewardship - Learn how to construct and amend SAP contracts & proposals and work directly with the sales teams to drive opportunities to conclusion.

The Consulting Services Sales team has proven to be an excellent place to hone and develop business acumen and gain valuable experience for young professionals.

The whole SAP Consulting Services Sales team are committed to providing the following experience as part of the internship:

  • Customer Facing Experience – attend sales meetings and work with some of SAP’s biggest and well known Customers
  • Industry Experience – the team works across all industries including Retail, Banking & Utilities. It offers a unique perspective for doing business in the modern climate and assessing the types of challenges that businesses face and provide real business improvement and transformation via Innovation Services.
  • Practical Sales Experience – the Services Sales intern will work alongside a wealth of sales professionals including consultants, sales managers, software experts and project managers, having the opportunity to learn from all of them.

Ideal Candidates:

Bright, articulate and motivated students who are currently on track for a 2:1 degree with the following key competencies:

  • Business, accounting ,IT experience / working knowledge would be an advantage but not essential
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Especially Excel)
  • Time Management
  • Team player
  • High energy level
  • Effective communicator / good interpersonal skills
  • Inquisitive and not afraid to ask questions
  • Logical
  • Focused and organised
  • Ability to work to deadlines
