Placement Opportunities

We take on over 200 placement students each year and each of our placements last for either six or twelve months. To ensure we are continually developing our workforce, we are looking for talented and motivated people who will inspire and shape our future business. At the BMW Group, we believe in creating an environment where you will learn by doing and where you are given your own areas of responsibilities from the start. That’s why our experts treat you as part of the team from day one and encourage you to bring your own ideas to the table –giving you the opportunity to really show what you can do. We are keen to hear from you if you are currently studying an undergraduate degree and if you are on track for a 2:1 or 1st class final result.
We have a variety of placements in all areas of our business, including: Engineering, Manufacturing, Human Resources, IT, Purchasing, Finance, Logistics, Marketing, Sales and Aftersales.
There are placements opportunities at all of our plants:
Production Network – which consists of MINI Plant Oxford, MINI Plant Swindon, and BMW Plant Hams Hall. Plant Oxford is the birthplace of MINI–while Plant Swindon is where MINI panels are pressed. Plant Hams Hall manufactures low emission engines for BMW and MINI vehicles.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars – designed to blend into the surrounding environment, Plant Goodwood in West Sussex, creates the perfect setting for the engineers and craftspeople inside to hone their skills and create instantly recognisable motor cars that have made the marque an icon across the world.
BMW (UK) Ltd. – responsible for all sales, marketing and aftersales activity for the BMW Group in the UK. Based at Plant Farnborough, we also represent MINI UK as well as our Motorcycle department Motorrad.
BMW Group Financial Services – also at Plant Farnborough we offer corporate and private customers simple and transparent solutions for all vehicle financing needs including leasing, insurance and managing of large vehicle fleets.

As an intern you will also have the opportunity to take part in the testing of new vehicles using the KNS car scheme. Throughout your placement you will be supported by our experts in your chosen field, as well as being surrounded by many fellow interns. High performing interns who show true passion throughout their time with the BMW Group, will have the opportunity to be recommended for our SpeedUP programme. This programme means that you will receive additional support, training and mentoring following your placement, which enables you to lay the foundations for the next all-important chapter in your career.
