About HM Treasury
HM Treasury, sometimes known as the Exchequer, is the government body in control over public spending, setting the direction of the UK’s economic policy and in charge of working to achieve strong and sustainable economic growth. HM Treasury is in charge of maintaining the Online System for Central Accounting and Reporting (OSCAR). The Treasury has been around since the reign of Henry I (1126).
