Insight into the business structure, front, back and middle office of J.P. Morgan. Provided experience to deal with case study scenarios faces in divisions: investment banking, credit risk, wealth management, asset management and whole sale payments. This allowed us to work in a team with other fellow bankers. Team work, commercial acumen, analytical thinking and communication was executed throughout the spring week. Presentations were provided to display which stock price and industry is likely to boom after lockdown.

Day one focused on getting to know J.P. Morgan through deep dives into J.P Morgan's teams and their work, panel sessions exploring the daily work of analysts and associates and interactive Q&A. Days two to four shine a spotlight on the different areas in the business you could join helping you choose the path that is best for you. Also took part in an interactive group challenges designed to replicate the work done as a J.P. Morgan banker.
A week-long programme, giving insight into the various divisions and corporate culture through team games, networking opportunities, presentations and discussions. The discussions gave a first-hand understanding of particular roles, which was particularly helpful.
We had several meetings with different employees and students that did the same program we were in at that moment so that they could talk about theirs experiences at JP Morgan. We also had a few tasks to complete in order to feel how it really was to work as a software engineer there. The online version of the program was, nevertheless, a bit awful.
Talks from senior leaders within the firm. Interactive workshop session lead by heads of divisions. Graduate networking. CyberSecurity online challenges. Coding tasks to do in your own time. These were used to determine who would progress to fast-track internship interviews. Quizzes on content from the speaker's talks as well as commercial awareness. Line of business insights as well as CV/resume workshops for application success.
This virtual programme provided an insight into different divisions within J.P. Morgan including Asset Management, Markets, Investment Banking as well as many others. From this experience, you learnt what each role within each division entailed. There was interactive Q&A sessions and panels with employees from Analysts to Managing Directors. Also there was many case study exercises with peers which allowed us to practice our analytical thinking. Great opportunity to network and learn from experienced individuals in the banking sector as well as our peers.
I was able to gain a deeper and clearer insight into the functions of the myriad divisions within an investment bank. I networked with a variety of analysts, associates and even a 1 to 1 session with a senior banker (MD in Leveraged Finance) and heard his insights about the current markets, as well as the skills needed to succeed in this competitive industry.

As well as a markets overview followed by Q&A and a networking session. There was a 'Philanthropy, Sustainability & Environmental Risk' Overview followed by an interactive case study activity. Lastly, there was an Investment Banking Interactive Case Study Exercise followed by an Investment Banking Networking session. Day three included a Credit Risk & Market Risk Overview, Asset Management Overview, Asset Class Speed Networking (Asset Management), Wealth Management Overview, Wealth Management Interactive Case Study Exercise, Corporate Panel, and Senior Networking. Day four started with a Wholesale Payments & GCB Panel followed by an interactive group Wholesale Payments Task. The day ended with an insight into The Future of J.P. Morgan, CV Skills Session and Demystifying the Recruitment Process.

The insight program revolved around shuffling between the departments of the JP Morgan's London branch. We heard from analysts, associates, senior members of different division from asset and wealth management to investment banking and markets and got plenty of opportunities to network as well. After a general overview of the divisions we would then be divided into breakout rooms to practice real-life cases and get an insight into what their daily tasks looked like.
