Overview
We attended several talks by J.P Morgan employees within the technology division, learning about life and work at J.P Morgan. Took part in activities and workshops to get a flavour of working as a software engineer at J.P Morgan. On the penultimate day of the program, we took part in the Code for Good Hackathon, building an application to tackle the UN sustainable goals.
Skills
Learnt above agile development, software engineering, cloud computing and UX design. Taking part in the Code for Good Hackathon helped me to learn Python (Django), JavaScript, HTML and CSS (i.e web development).
Business Insight
Yes, it was fantastic. It helped to realise the scope and job opportunities available at J.P Morgan. It also made me realise how much potential for growth there is at J.P Morgan and hence definitely a firm that I want to work for. I also found out how important technology is to J.P Morgan - it is actually more driven by technology than finance!
Culture
Amazing! Never thought that a financial firm like J.P Morgan would have such an inclusive, warming and welcoming environment. People normally associate financial firms as having bad work cultures, but J.P Morgan (especially the technology unit) has a very nice and enjoyable culture.

I really enjoyed the insight. Would highly recommend any student looking for opportunities in the financial sector to attend this insight!
