How can I gain experience?

Many of our authorised training employers offer work experience opportunities, internships and placements throughout the year.

How can I apply?

You can start your journey towards qualifying as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant during your placement year:

    1. Finish your first year at university in any subject.
    2. Research employers and apply to placement vacancies on their websites at the start of your second year.
    3. Complete recruitment process with an employer of your choice.
    4. Complete your placement year, ensuring that you keep a record of your work experience, professional development, ethics training and exams.
    5. After completing your final year at university, start your graduate job. Everything that you completed during your placement year will count towards completing the ACA qualification.
