The event is very informative and gave students a lot of opportunities to interact with employees within MUFG and students also had the chance to participate in group exercise and deliver a short presentation to one of the business representatives after discussion. I would guess this activity mirrors what is likely to happen during the virtual assessment centre. In addition, all the business reps are super helpful and gave good advice to students and encourage them to start a career in banking.
The (Virtual) Female Insight Day was very insightful. Not only did I get an opportunity to gain a first-hand insight into the strong culture at MUFG but also able to network and hear from current employees about their experiences and journey.
The virtual Insight Day was incredibly informative, with lots of opportunity to ask questions and network with members of the bank. For just 3 hours of our day in the afternoon I felt as though I came away with a much greater understanding of the company values and the culture at the bank. The employees were welcoming and friendly and it definitely left me feeling like the bank is somewhere I would like to work in the future.
It was very a very well organised event. As an attendee, I got an all round exposure to MUFG's banking practises, their culture as well as an insight into their recruitment process. I also had a chance to network with senior directors and graduates allowing me to see how a career in MUFG is from various different roles.
I really liked how the insight day was structured. I liked the fact that we were given the opportunity to talk both to senior people and analysts. I would say the only moment I felt something could be improved was during the first part of the event when we had been divided into two rooms and we could talk to analysts. I feel that at that moment, the room was very small and it was hard to rotate from one person to another.
The employees were very nice and welcoming and helped to ease everyone in to the world of finance. The day was well structured and allowed us to spend an adequate amount of time with both senior and junior staff. Networking took priority which was great because you get to meet the people you may end up working with.
I enjoyed it thoroughly and that it was a good learning opportunity. I was supported by both a buddy and a manager. Additionally, everyone on the desk was very helpful. I felt like my work contributed to the team's efforts. I felt there was always something to do and my team really took an interest in my ideas and gave my real responsibility on the job.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my internship at MUFG as I have been exposed to different parts of the Bank and I have been able to create and establish good networks. This internship provides the opportunity to first-hand experience how the Bank operates, with more specific insights into the divisions you are placed into as part of the rotation scheme on the programme.
