What was the interview process like?

I found the interview process very straight forward and not too complex like other companies I applied to. Golfbreaks interview process is all about getting to know about the individual and their personality, it doesn’t focus on methods like psychometric testing – which was perfect for me!

How promising are the graduate prospects?

I have gained invaluable experience working in an SME and would definitely return to the company. 1 in 4 students return as graduates and Golfbreaks provide excellent training and opportunities to move up in the company. The fact Golfbreaks is expanding makes it even more appealing, it will be exciting to watch the company grow and see new opportunities arise.

What has been your biggest challenge?

The biggest challenge I have had throughout the placement is having the confidence to believe I know what to do in the different situations that arise. However, through gaining more responsibility and being given an insight into other departments, I have gained more confidence in myself and my decision making which will benefit me when going to a new employer.

Where has your experience exceeded your expectations?

The main part of my placement that has exceeded my expectations is the amount of responsibility students are given. In many placement roles, the students are there to help others, however at Golfbreaks.com the students are treated exactly the same as full time employees and contribute just as much to the success of the business as full time employees do.

What did you most enjoy about your role?

I loved coming into work and everyday being different due to the variety of situations that arise, it keeps it interesting and keeps me learning. The people here are lovely, and always willing to help. We have opportunities to visit venues which has been great and given me confidence when talking to clients, having had firsthand experience of the venues.
