  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was very engaging and informative

  • you felt they invested a lot of resources in you and valued your presence at the company.

  • We were fully guided all the way through with exceptional contact opportunities with employees

  • I was never bored and always had something interesting to do.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I wouldnt say I was running the show, but I was given a large amount of responsibility and when given some direction for what was needed in the business plan, I was left to work unaided and have produced work that has been highly praised.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learnt so much and I think will become aparant when starting back at Uni but I know it will certainly help me when applying for grad jobs.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Some days when there is a lot to do, everyone knuckles down and gets on with it, other days there is less to do and people have time to chat a bit.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The work placement was very well set up with a good structure. It was good to know what you were doing every day.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • During the first month with the company all interns are put on a thorough training course. The course is run by the directors as well as other members of staff who take time out of their usual schedules. This shows the level of commitment to the training and development of the intern students straight away.

  • Extremely appealing. I feel I would have the potential to have a successful career in Nestle.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I feel that the interns formed friendships really quickly this year and we regularly socialize outside of work, however, it is not just the placements who meet up out of the office.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Fairly expensive place to go out, however, as I was able to live at home during my internship and I was still able to save a lot of money.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Amazing but expensive. Lots of places to go to during night outs.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • If there is not already something being organised by some one you can organise something yourself. There are always company wide emails being sent round asking who is interested in doing some sort of activity.
