I massively enjoyed my vacation scheme with Pinsent Masons. Over the two weeks I was able to meet a wide range of lawyers from a number of different teams across the firm. All the staff, from the people sat at the front desk to the department heads were g...
The 2 week vacation scheme at Taylor Wessing LLP, London was an extremely enjoyable insight into the world of commercial law. Undertaking 'real' work and engaging with lawyers from across the firm confirmed that a career in the legal sector is for me. I w...
I absolutely loved my time at Taylor Wessing. The organisation of the scheme was seamless, and the actual work done was brilliant. I felt at home in this organisation and felt like I gained true insight. The office definitely has its own distinct personal...
I came into this role not really knowing what to expect. I have been astounded by the amount of real responsibility given to us as interns. The work is interesting, challenging and beneficial to career development. Getting up for work in the morning is no...
The experience was intense working on the waves but really enjoyable. The atmosphere created heavily relies on the staff teams relationships and attitudes. There was a lot of work and late nights which is okay as long as you can rely on the other people w...
I thoroughly enjoyed my time during the vacation scheme and it lived up to every expectation and beyond. I really enjoyed the variety of work and experiences. The ability to take part in two seats supported by other talks/workshops meant that I gained a r...
It was incredibly enjoyable, not only a lovely group of colleagues, but also incredibly interesting work.
Having started my placement in August I can confidently say that I have enjoyed my placement to date. I liked having the ability to get a feel for the firm’s structure and culture, and most of all the people at Shoosmiths are great.
I loved my time at Taylor Wessing and it would absolutely be a place I would want to work in the future.
Very much so.
I really enjoyed my time at RPC.
The main positive was how welcoming everybody at the firm was - at times I actually did forget that I was a summer student at the firm, rather than a full time employee!
I think this says more about the type of person R...
For the most part I enjoyed my time working at CRUK, however at times I was left a little frustrated!
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the firm, whether inside the office walls or out with trainees on social events. I gained a real insight into the firm and found the environment extremely welcoming.
Really enjoyed this summer vacation placement. A really excellent insight into life in a commercial firm, social events were well organised and everyone was really welcoming
The whole placement was very well thought out with the students in mind. Pre and post communication was also very well conducted and I didn't feel anxious to get in contact if I had clashes with the schedule (eg. rescheduling the interview). Certainly a u...
A really friendly firm who were happy to help and offer up some really interesting work and experiences. I managed to get the opportunity to visit the Court of Appeal twice during the two weeks as well as doing research, drafting and blogging.
I really enjoyed myself - the two-day workshop allowed more time for a range of different activities and a more in-depth look into what individual departments do rather than just an overview of what the firm is like.
Overall enjoyed the day. A few trainees told us that they were called at the last minute and didn't really know what was going on and quite often spent time typing emails. Was expecting to meet some partners and associates. Only saw one partner for ...
I missed work shadowing and a deeper insight with employees in the business area I would like to join. Has my mentor been of the division I would like to apply, it would have been easier for both.
Fantastic insight into the financial world. Events were entertaining whilst insightful. Networking with charming and insightful employees throughout the week.
It was great, Patrick was a great mentor
Great insight day in the business
The work was varied and interesting enough to keep me occupied during the internship.
Work was varied and challenging, I got the chance to have control over my own project over the internship.
This was a great placement, I benefited so much from it and would recommend it to anyone.
It is enjoyable.
it is a wonderful job
It was a really fun week: stimulating, challenging, rewarding, sociable.
There were times during my placement year at Hays where the job was quite difficult but I think this is only a good thing, because you need to get the most out of your year so need to be stretched and learn as much as possible.
Very enjoyable, everyone was very friendly
It was really good. The intern I shadowed was very friendly and organised lots of meetings with senior engineers so I could get a real overview of what they do at BP. The setting was informal so it helped me fit in more.
Really good fun. Got good, challenging work to do and lots of appreciation for it.
I found it very interesting and learnt a lot about the conpany through the activities we took part in.
Was a really good placement, experienced a variety of departments which I found really useful.
I did some really interesting work for the majority of the week and met some really lovely people. I really enjoyed spending time with the other vac schemers, and meeting the trainees. We went out most nights after work which made everything more fun! Als...
