  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Good placement, National Grid inductions could use some updating

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My line manager was like an uncle, weekly trips to the pub. Really made me feel like part of the team

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • He was pretty supportive in my future career. Could use more regular one to one meetings.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some weeks I'd be rushed off my feet. At the begining and end of my placement I was pretty bored.

  • A lot! I had to write technical papers for discussion at company board meeting

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Presentation & organisation skills have increased!

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • A bit quiet and dull on occasion. The odd bit of banter by the office water cooler was fun.

  • It was very poorly set up, my line manager wasnt there to welcome me. Little contact from HR

  • Good 5 day trainning session.

  • I'm on the sponsored student scheme, high chance of getting on the grad scheme.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yeah, made some mates for life! Took some sorting out though, i set up my own Facebook page.

  • Pretty high!

  • Pretty schweeeet!
