    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Job was not enjoyable. All tasks were menial and although have done work like this before expected more experience from such a company

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Not at all. Very closed company was not vert welcoming. Some individuals were very warm, but the vast majority were obnoxious and 'above' talking to me.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Two managers. One was absent, the other was the second manager I guess was very welcoming and eager to help. Should have been other way round.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some tasks were ridiculous. Was expected to print thousands of sheets off after 5.30 (when i was to leave 5ish). Other days were not very productive.

  • Very litttle which made me feel inadequate.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Had experience with computers, technology and library/data management. Apart from that - not much.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • A few very testing individuals who were boring. Others thought they were funny, but werent.

  • I dont think it was a placement, I think they wanted a skivvy and pretended it to be a placement.

  • Not a lot.

  • I would never be here permanently, good experience temporarily.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I was the youngest by far and was made to remember this most of the time.

  • Lived in student area so wasnt too expensive.

  • Centre of england's second largest city so wasnt to quiet
