The Role
The internship was great. For this role I had to relocate to London which to begin with was expensive. The social activities and talks were really informative and showed what it is really like to work for JLL. Also provided further insight into the industry. The social activities allowed me to mix with the other interns and graduates which was fun!
Luckily for the the department I was placed in was extremely busy which meant that there was always work to do. As a result of this however you are do have to go in search of your own work, and there was no one really to 'hold your hand' as it were because everyone was so busy. This worked well for me however as I liked the independence, but it may not work for some. everyone in the department was really approachable.
My supervisor was out on secondment whilst I was on my internship so I didn't see her much. Everyone else was on hand for support
It varied, some days I was rushed off my feet, others I was quieter. There was always something to do however, just depended on how tight the deadline was
Some, obviously all the work I did had to be checked first before being sent to the client.
I have definitely learnt some invaluable skills and industry knowledge that will come in handy when I begin my masters in september
The Company
Busy, but friendly with a lot of collaborative working. everyone 'hot desked' which meant that you got to mix and sit next to someone new every day
very well organized. From what I gather some departments were better than others
I was only here for 4 weeks so there weren't a lot of training opportunities. There were guest talks or 'lectures' provided as part of the program which gave us insights into different parts of the business which was really interesting and useful.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
after undertaking the internship you can be put forward to be fast tracked onto the graduate scheme.
The Culture
yes definitely, the company as a whole is very social
Living in London is obviously very expensive
There are all sorts of things going on like sports days etc. There is also a running club every Tuesday!
