The Role
I thought that the Commercial Management internship scheme was brilliant. I very much enjoyed my time in the firm and have learnt so much about the company and its very friendly and supportive staff.
I felt very valued by my team and was given many opportunities to take on lots of responsibility and demonstrate my skills to my managers. I was made to feel like one of the team straight away and my colleagues were fantastic.
I was given support and guidance by my managers at every step of the way and was never left to feel lost or confused. My managers invested a lot of time into making sure I got the most out of my experience.
It depended on the week. Some weeks were relatively quiet, others very manic. It meant that I had to adapt to the situation and be very organised when we did have more work to get through.
I was given a lot more responsibility than I expected. This meant that I really felt valued in the team and was able to learn a lot about many different things.
I have developed very useful, transferable skills during my time at M&G Investments which will no doubt help me in my future career.
The Company
The atmosphere was great. Everyone I came across were very supportive and approachable. M&G Investments has a lovely corporate culture and a very good work-life balance.
The internship was very well structured, with each intern spending 8 weeks in a different team across the business. We had a mid-internship assessment and a final week evaluation meeting, as well as several organised social events, networking lunches and a business/charity fundraising challenge to complete in teams.
M&G Investments offered fantastic training/information sessions in the first few weeks of the internship, given by staff from almost all departments in the firm. These presentations were very informative and engaging.

The Culture
We seemed to get on well as a group of interns and did a few social things together, although we were all very busy and tired by the end of the day!
It's London...so nothing is cheap!
I can't say as I didn't really experience it, but I'm sure its great!
Yes, there were opportunities to get involved in the company's charity events such as the Pride Pub Quiz or 10km run!
