The Role
A fantastic experience, very well organised and structured, by far and away the best internship/work experience that I have done so far.
I felt able to give my opinion and present my ideas where appropriate.
Incredible 1 on 1 support from my manager on a very regular basis. Patient and understanding which really helped to develop my knowledge base and comfort level in the role. HR put on a very slick 2 month program for us with regular catch ups to make sure everything was on the right lines. There was also the odd social and networking event put on which were great as well.
Busy enough to never be in any danger of clock watching but at the same time didn't feel overstretched.
The right amount.
They will be invaluable.
The Company
I had heard M&G was famous for it's culture and it lived up to that billing. A great working environment.
Very well organised.
Employees from all over the business took the time to give us insights into their respective areas. As previously stated, my manager was very generous with his time. I was also invited to attend company meetings where appropriate which I learnt a lot from as well as being included in team meetings and discussions. Overall very impressive.

Very appealing, we find out whether or not we get a grad job soon after the internship ends and I will be anxiously awaiting the decision on that. I'm not quite sure what rating to give on this one as I would like to think that I am in with a decent chance but obviously can't say if I have got the job or not yet.
The Culture
Yes, not excessive but the option was there.
Living in family home in London rent free so with the major cost removed this wasn't a problem. Obviously most things in London are pretty expensive though.
I am not sure to be honest. From what I have heard it is pretty good but my knowledge doesn't really extend beyond the occasional bar for a quick drink after work.
Lots of opportunities, one that I participated in was a 6 aside cricket competition which was a great afternoon out and a very good opportunity to meet a variety of people from all over the company.
