    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was very inspirational and an eye opener into the world of Graphic Design. It made me realise how important it is to keep contacts for the future.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • It's difficult when on placement for such little time but I feel they valued my opinions and interest about the job.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The management were fantastic, i received emails confirming where I should go and at what time and i never felt I was unsure about anything. They were continuously informative throughout my placement.

  • I was fairly busy but most of the time due to my own initiative and making work for myself.

  • I was given several jobs but never anything too important.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learnt a lot about the industry and tips on layout design. Iy is vital for my portfolio of work experience and my contacts list.

  • The atmosphere was quiet yet friendly.

  • I cannot fault the organization.

  • It wasn;t that type of placement.

  • The prospects of working within Penguin books is very appealing. I felt the atmosphere was friendly and inspiring and the company on a whole are a good organization to work for.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I wasn't there long enough but I got the impression it is a sociable place.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London is expensive and a huge city so travel can add up but it is a vibrant and exiting place to be

  • Amazing but expensive.

  • If I had been there longer then maybe but not that I sw.
